Two routes, one foundation

Not everyone needs the same training. Want to advise and sell only, without installing? Then follow the short, hands-on sales course: colours, materials, the colour mixer, and how to run a good advisory conversation. No installation work, no stock, no tools — a low-threshold way to earn extra alongside your current work, with a fixed fee per completed project. Always wanted to run your own business, as a freelancer, full-time or on the side? This is your chance to try it out. It's also a natural fit for painters with quieter winters: you already know your client, and stairs connect directly to your trade.

Want to install as well? Then there's the two-day hands-on training, from 9:00 to 15:00, to become a certified Signature installer — including colour advice and how to run a good advisory conversation, from measuring to finishing. During this training you build your own mini demo staircase: your own practice piece, and immediately the tool you'll use to show the system to clients at home. This training covers both parts in one go — you don't need to come back separately for the sales course.

The hands-on training makes you a Trapmeester right away

The two-day hands-on training to become a Signature installer covers both installing and advising. Complete this training and you immediately receive the title Trapmeester® — recognition that you've mastered the full trade, from colour advice to the final tread. No separate follow-up day needed. Prefer to advise only, without installing? Then there's the shorter, standalone sales course — it doesn't automatically lead to the Trapmeester title.

Small groups, not a lecture hall

We deliberately keep groups small. No anonymous room where your question goes unasked, but direct contact with the trainer and enough time to truly get to know the material — the sawing, the bonding, feeling the colour composition. You'll leave with confidence, not a notebook full of scattered tips.

What you get

Besides the training itself: a complete sample set in all fifteen colours across three collections, and — for those taking the hands-on training — the mini demo staircase you build yourself during the course. Nothing convinces a client better than a scale model you built yourself and can put right on the table. You'll receive a certificate on completion. Hands-on training graduates also start immediately as a recognised Omnistair partner — no trial period.

At the Experience Center, or on location

Most training takes place at the Omnistair Experience Center in Waddinxveen, where you can see and feel the full range. On request, we also provide sales training on location — for example in your own showroom, tailored to your team and your clients. On-location training is also available for the installer course.

When does the Academy start?

We start right after InCoDa 2026 (21–23 September) with the first round:

• Installer hands-on training — Monday 28 and Tuesday 29 September 2026, 9:00-15:00
• Free VvE evening — Thursday 1 October 2026, 20:00-22:00
• Sales course — Friday 2 October 2026, 9:00-15:00

After our Open House in early November, the Academy continues on a fixed rhythm — the sales course starts on Fridays, the installer training on Mondays and Tuesdays, both from 9:00 to 15:00:

• Installer hands-on training — Monday 9 and Tuesday 10 November 2026
• Sales course — Friday 13 November 2026
• Installer hands-on training — Monday 16 and Tuesday 17 November 2026
• Sales course — Friday 20 November 2026
